Iris Marie Mack, MBA/PhD

Iris Mack, MBA/PhD has been an astronaut semifinalist, one of Glamour Magazine’s “Top 10” college students, one of Glamour’s “Top 10” working women, an investment banker, an Enron Energy Trader and an MIT professor.

These days, Dr. Mack plans to educate children about the wonders of math. She and her colleagues at Phat Math, Inc. welcome you to their new social network – where students can have fun, get FREE 24/7 online math homework help and collaborate with students all over the world!

In addition, Dr. Mack’s book,Mama says, "Money Doesn´t Grow on Trees!” is designed to help students achieve math proficiency and financial literacy via the use of hip multicultural characters. Dr. Mack ventured into children’s publishing because she wanted to create a vehicle that would show kids the fun side of math and the role it plays in everyday life.

Dr. Mack was the second African-American female to earn a doctorate in Applied Mathematics from Harvard. Later she became a mathematics and business professor at several academic institutions (including MIT) while simultaneously running her own consulting firm. Several years ago Dr. Mack moved to Europe and completed an Executive MBA at the London Business School prior to working as an investment banker in London.
